Fine Arts Night
Students must meet their teacher in the classroom at 5:45 pm.
Please save the date for Fine Arts Night on May 15th at 6:00 pm. Attendance is required as part of their music grade. We are excited about the opportunity to showcase our Arts department. Our music directors, Mrs. Schkade and Miss Beumer, have worked with the students all year on music theory, rhythm, and tone. During the evening, each choir will perform under the direction of Mrs. Schkade. Our bands and recorders, directed by Miss Beumer, will also perform. Mrs. Bird’s art class projects will be displayed around the building; families will be invited to an Open House where they can enjoy the art projects done by the students.
Students will arrive at 5:45 pm and meet their teacher in their classroom. After the music performance, students return to their classrooms; parents pick them up.
Students in Kindergarten – 2nd grade are to wear their Sunday best. There will be a cookie reception after the program in the commons.
In addition, we will also have a silent auction with the class art projects. Bidding will be in person on Fine Arts Night, May 15th.
Spring Play
The spring play has been canceled for both May 16th and 19th.
There are no memory or spelling assignments for the last week of school. Please look for your student’s summer reading assignments which are going home in Thursday folders this week. The summer reading list for students going into second grade is included at the end of this newsletter.
Blessings on your summer!
Miss Hannah Christian
