Dear Parents,
As we approach the end of the school year, I want to thank you for the support you give your students each day. It has been a blessing to teach them and see them grow this year. I am incredibly proud of them!
Please review this newsletter as it contains important information about the end of the school year.
Week at a Glance
This week we discussed even and odd numbers in math. We are reviewing for our social studies test on American culture and history. In handwriting we learned uppercase cursive “A,” “D,” “C,” and “O”. We are continuing to review contractions in language. In reading we reviewed sound spellings for the sounds /oo/, /j/ and /s/. In religion we read about Paul’s missionary journeys. Fine Arts Night
Fine Arts Night is Hope’s end-of-the-year showcase for our arts department. Attendance is mandatory for this event and participation is part of your child’s music grade.
Each year every class collaborates on a themed art project. These projects will be available for bidding during a silent auction on Fine Arts Night. Attached is a picture of 2nd grade’s 2026 class art project “Let’s Make a Joyful Noise”.
Second grade students should wear Sunday Best attire. Students should meet their teacher in the classroom no later than 5:15. Parents may then go to the FLC for the performance.
We are excited to share this program with you!
