October 9-10 – Lutheran Teacher Conference NO SCHOOL
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher Conferences are today and tomorrow. We will meet in the first grade classroom for conferences. Please wait in the hallway if you arrive early. Each conference will last for approximately twenty minutes. I look forward to meeting with you.
Music
The first and second grade choir will be singing at Hope’s 10:30 a.m. service on September 24th. Students should wear Sunday best and be at Hope by 10:20 a.m. The students will sing after the sermon. You are welcome to stay for the service. Your child will sit with you until it is time to sing. We will be singing at the front of the sanctuary.
If your child cannot be there to sing please notify me by email. Performing is an important element of our choir education.
Water Bottles/Snacks
It is important to send your child with a water bottle every day. We do not have cups or a sink in the classroom and water bottles help our students stay hydrated and ready to learn.
Your child also needs a snack every day for the afternoon. Thank you for not sending snacks containing nut allergens. You help keep our classroom safe!
Picture Day
Picture day at Hope is October 5th. Please add this event to your calendars.
Reading Books
It is important to keep track of your child’s reading book. Please check either their bookmark or their binder page for the daily reading assignment. The students will read the assigned pages from the previous day if there is no new reading assignment listed.
First Grade Auction Basket
Our wonderful room parents are organizing a basket for the PAHS Auction in November. The first grade basket theme is “K.C. Barbecue”. I will send out a sign up with the items we would like to include. Please sign up to donate part of the basket!
