Our reading focus this week are words with short “o” sounds. In language we are identifying words using pictures and rhymes. We are practicing writing words that are straight up and down for legibility in handwriting. This week’s religion lessons are about Samuel and prayer. In music we are preparing for Veteran’s Day by learning “America the Beautiful”. We are continuing our lessons about sound in science. Your students are practicing high frequency words in spelling. This week’s social studies lessons are on holidays and why we celebrate people and events.

Your students are doing well with their assigned reading! Please put the reading books back into your child’s backpack each night after they read to you.
