Dear Parents,

Week at a Glance
This week for memory we learned Colossians 1:16a which tells of God’s creating work. In religion we are studying King Solomon constructing the temple. Our language lessons are focused on syllables and writing number words. We are reviewing how to neatly write two digit numbers in handwriting. We are learning how addition and subtraction equations are related in math and are practicing fact families through ten. In reading we are learning about the prefix “re-” and identifying words that use this prefix. We are continuing our study of living and nonliving things in science and are learning about the habits and habitats of animals this week. This week we learned words ending in consonant digraphs such as “-nd” and “-nk” in spelling. Our social studies focus this week is Veterans Day. In choir we are singing “America the Beautiful” in preparation for our Veterans Day Program.
