Dear Parents,

Week at a Glance

In handwriting this week we are writing sentences to form a short story. Our language lessons are focused on reading passages for details. In religion the class is learning about Jesus’ miracles and earthly ministry. Our memory verse for this week was Matthew 6:8 which tells of God’s loving care for His people. We are learning how to decompose two-digit numbers in math. In reading we are learning the inflectional ending “-ing” and are beginning to read short poems. We are continuing to learn about goods and services in social studies. In science we are learning about the sun and moon. This week in choir we are practicing our music for Grandparents Day with a focus on singing with expression.
