Hi all,
I hope your week has been blessed and productive! This week has been going very well so far, the class has been behaving wonderfully and is consistently meeting expectations and following the rules. It took some time, but I truly feel like we’ve found our rhythm and are working beautifully together!
Math:
We’ve started a new unit all about shapes! This week, we’re focusing on the triangle, rectangle, square, circle, and hexagon. We’re learning to recognize each shape and count their sides and corners. Soon, we’ll begin exploring shape patterns and discussing the rules that patterns follow. This unit focuses on two-dimensional shapes, and we’ll move on to three-dimensional shapes once we finish this one.
Handwriting:
This week we’re working on the letters Qq, Jj, and Gg. The students have been doing a great job, especially since these letters can be a bit tricky due to their different lines and curves!
Science:
We are continuing our discussions about motion, position, and how things move.
Social Studies:
We are learning about Native American tribes and groups and exploring how they lived and worked together.
Important Dates:
📸 November 13 – Picture Retakes (10 a.m.–12 p.m.)

Important Notes:
As the weather gets colder, please make sure your child comes prepared with a warm jacket, hat, and gloves. Per school policy, we will continue to have outdoor recess unless the temperature drops below 15°F or there is a wind chill of 0°F.
- Students must wear an extra layer (a jacket, not just a sweatshirt) when the temperature is below 50°F.
- If a student does not have a jacket, they will be asked to stay inside.
- Please label all outerwear with your child’s name in case it gets misplaced
We are looking for volunteers for our annual Milt Brueggemann Hope Classic, this is a great way to get your volunteer hours and a great way to connect with other parents and church members. Here is the sign up genius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C054CAEA82AA3F8C07-59263767-2025#/
Also, please remember to send chapel offerings on Wednesdays. This quarter, our offerings go toward Christmas Families, and so far, we’ve collected $126.23!
If your child is participating in the Spelling Bee, please practice the words that were in the permission slip packet.
If you are turning in your Christmas Boxes late they will go on the altar in the church.
