Kindergarten News 3/05

March 4, 2026

Hi all,

I hope you are having a blessed and wonderful week! This will be a fairly short update since I just returned yesterday.

Math

We are finishing up our unit on measurement, and our next unit will focus on telling time. Telling time can be a challenging concept at first, but with hands-on practice, activities, and worksheets, I am confident the students will begin to grasp it.

They have been doing a wonderful job in math these past few weeks. I love seeing their deeper understanding develop, along with their curiosity about what we are learning!

Reading

We are continuing to work on blends and vowel teams. I will soon be sending home some vowel team worksheets for additional practice, as these are still challenging for some students. Thank you for supporting your child at home,  it truly makes a difference!

Writing

The students continue to grow in their handwriting skills and their understanding of print concepts. We are having so much fun with journals, they truly love writing and sharing their ideas!

Social Studies

We are learning about Holland and exploring its culture and traditions.

Religion

We are continuing to learn about the miracles Jesus performed. The students show such genuine interest and curiosity about their faith. It is incredible to see their desire to learn and grow.

Science

This week in Science we will be learning about recycling.
