(Veterans Day Vectors by Vecteezy)

Veterans Day  – We are looking forward to showing our appreciation for veterans on Monday. This is a program for our veterans rather than parents. We encourage all veterans and those who are on active duty to attend.

Operation Christmas Child boxes will be collected at the beginning of chapel next week.  Our goal is to have 12 boxes from our classroom!

Christmas Families – Our school will also be sharing the love of Christ this Christmas by sharing gifts of food, clothing, and other items with families who are less fortunate. Hope is adopting 4 families this year. Watch for more information about how you can help with this mission. Next week will begin to collect grocery items. Our class is asked to bring 1 item: a can of green beans or baked beans on Tuesday. On Thursday, please send in jam and/or peanut butter.

Book Reports – Our book reports for this quarter will be in the form of a poster. You will find a sheet with directions and a rubric in this week’s Thursday envelope. I am also attaching a link below. Completed posters will be due on Friday, December 13.

Spelling: We will not have a new spelling list for next week. Instead, we will be working on a writing unit during our spelling time.

Memory work for November 15:
The Tenth Commandment: You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not entice or force away our neighbor’s wife, workers, or animals, or turn them against him, but urge them to stay and do their duty.
