Newsletter – November 16th-29th

November 15, 2023

We have so many things to be thankful for!  I am thankful for the privilege of working with your children.  They really are such a blessing!  I hope that you are able to enjoy your family time next week as you thank God for your many blessings!

Today, Thursday, November 16th – Jennie Williamson Concert at 1:30 pm in the FLC
Jennie Williamson is coming to Hope.  An exciting music ministry impacting the hearts and lives of youth and families around the world!  Jennie Williamson brings an energy and excitement for Jesus that is contagious! The music and live events are filled with incredible messages of love and hope that reaches the hearts of every audience. Parents are welcome to attend.

Book Reports – I am encouraging the class to take home the chapter books that they have chosen for their book reports. Some of them are almost finished reading and will be ready to start making their posters! This might be a good project for next week while they have some extra time. Our book reports for this quarter will be in the form of a poster. You will find a sheet with directions and a rubric in this week’s Thursday envelope. I am also attaching a link below. Completed posters will be due on Monday, December 11, to be presented that week in class. Poster-Book-ReportDownload

Christmas Families – This will mark our 30th year of offering the love of Christ through the outpouring of food and clothing to those less fortunate during the Christmas season.   With your generosity, we have successfully given for many years to those in need.   We are asking for you to consider joining us in making it another successful season for four families that we at Hope Lutheran School have adopted during this season of Christmas. We need a lot of volunteers to have a successful tournament. Please consider helping out. Watch for a Sign-Up Genius to volunteer.

We will not have memory or spelling assignments for next week since we only have 2 days of school. The following assignments are for the week after Thanksgiving.
