(Veterans Day Vectors by Vecteezy)

Veterans Day  – We are looking forward to showing our appreciation for veterans on Tuesday. This is a program for our veterans rather than parents. We encourage all veterans and those who are on active duty to attend.

Operation Christmas Child boxes will be collected at the beginning of chapel next week.  Our goal is to have 21 boxes from our classroom!

Spelling Bee – The school-wide Spelling Bee will be held on Wednesday, November 19th. The results of our classroom bee are: Hunter – 1st place, William – 2nd place, and Gianni as our alternate. Our class will be well represented on the 19th!

Science City – We are looking forward to our trip to Science City tomorrow! Please remember that your child will need to bring their own lunch that day, as we have made arrangements to eat on the premises. Students should wear their normal school uniform for this field trip. We have had some last-minute changes to our groupings for this trip. Watch for an email with the updated information.

Book Reports – Our book reports for this quarter will be in the form of a poster. You will find a sheet with directions and a rubric in this week’s Thursday envelope. I am also attaching a link below. Completed posters will be due on Monday, December 15.

Spelling: We will not have a new spelling list for next week. Instead, we will be working on a writing unit during our spelling time.

Memory work for November 12:
The Tenth Commandment: You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not entice or force away our neighbor’s wife, workers, or animals, or turn them against him, but urge them to stay and do their duty.
