We have had a fun and “spirit” -filled week! We were pretty “comfy” on Monday, many sets of twins (or triplets…) on Tuesday, lots of teachers represented on Wednesday, and lots of school spirit on Thursday. I am looking forward to seeing all of the holiday cheer on Friday. Along with Spirit Week, we have been working on the Christmas program, applying our multiplication skills in math, learning about direct and indirect quotes in grammar, talking about different countries on the continent of Asia in social studies, and what it means to be God’s children as we take time to focus on His coming during this season of Advent.
23rd MBHC Tournament – Thank you to those who signed up to help with this weekend’s tournament! Volunteers are still needed. Hope 25-26: 2025 Milt Brueggemann Hope Classic

Our Holiday Shop is coming soon! – We are proud to announce that we have chosen The Kids’ Choice® Gift Shop for our Children’s Holiday Gift Store this year. The Kids’ Choice® Gift Shop allows your children to shop for high-quality gifts for friends and family in a secure environment at our school. The Kids’ Choice® Gift Shop program allows our children to make real-life shopping decisions…plus they learn that giving is as important as receiving. Gift items start at less than $1.00, with most in the $1.00 to $10.00 range. The shop will be open to the 3rd grade on Thursday, Dec. 11.
Still, Still, Still is the title of the 3rd–8th Grade Christmas Program. Here is what you need to know:
Thursday, December 18 at 6:00 PM
Student Arrival: Students should arrive by 5:45 PM and report to their homeroom classrooms.
Dinner: Dinner will be served from 4:45 to 5:45 PM in the lunchroom. The cost is a free-will donation supporting their Washington, D.C. trip. Dinner served will be Walking Tacos.
Attire: White tops and black bottoms *Boys must wear a white collared shirt
Reception: A cookie reception will follow the program.
Practice: Students have several parts they are learning. Please help them practice at home as we prepare to joyfully share the story of Jesus’ birth. It is a blessing to celebrate this good news together and give glory to God.
Classroom Christmas Gift Exchange – For our class Christmas party on Dec. 19, we will gift each other a book to read. The kids filled out surveys listing their favorite topics or books. Students drew a classmate’s name for the exchange. It’s more fun if we can keep names a secret until gifts are opened, so the name your child drew, and the book information to help with book shopping, were in a sealed envelope in the Thursday folder before Thanksgiving break. (Cost for the gift should not exceed $10.00) Wrapped books should be brought to school the week of Dec. 8-12. Please get in touch with me if you have concerns or if this is a hardship for you.
