International Fair – May 1st
This Thursday, May 1st, is the international fair. We are so excited to be able to present all of our hard work throughout the year to friends and family. 5:45 PM – Students should arrive in the classroom.
6:00 PM – The Parade of Countries will begin in the Family Life Center, featuring a traditional dance and student presentations.
After the parade, families are invited to tour classrooms to view projects and sample food from around the globe.
WHAT TO WEAR: Girls – black shoes, black leggings/tights, hair in a bun with two braids on the side. Their formal dress is provided by the school. Boys – White button-down shirt, black pants. Their other parts of their dress is provided by the school
FINALS
Finals are quickly approaching as well. We will be spending time in class preparing for finals, but students should also take time and study and review at home. In the car on the way to school or way home is always a great time to review vocabulary words!
Finals are as follows:
7th ELA will be on Thursday, May 8th
Math will be on Tuesday, May 13th
Science will be on Thursday, May 15th
US History final will be the international fair
Singing at Church – May 4th
The 6th and 7th grade choir will be singing at the 10:30 church service this Sunday, May 4th. It is also Confirmation Sunday. It is a blessing to be able to have the whole class sing at the service, as Arie, Akilah, Katie, Maria, and Will will be confirmed in their faith.
Miss Mondary Gone

The 7th graders are going on two field trips next week. May 5th they are going to Craig Crossing Park. May 7th they are going to the KC Money Museum and the Planetarium at Union Station. We are still looking for drivers. Please let me know as soon as possible.
Fine Arts Night – May 15th
Students will arrive at 5:45 pm and meet their teacher in their classroom. After the music performance, students return to their classrooms; parents pick them up. The 3rd – 8th grade are to wear WHITE TOP AND BLACK BOTTOMS. There will be a cookie reception after the program in the commons.
In addition, we will also have a SILENT AUCTION with the class art projects. Bidding will be in person on Fine Arts Night, May 15th.
