Welcome Back!
Welcome back to school! Mrs. Maurice and Miss Mondary are very excited to be teaching the 7th and 8th graders this year. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year with this group of students.
Newsletter Information
Each week, you will get a newsletter from Mrs. Maurice or Miss Mondary. The main newsletter will be titled “Middle School Scoop”. At the end of the newsletter are links to view each homeroom announcements, spelling lists, memory, or any other class newsletters. The format of the middle school scoop will stay consistent throughout the school year, with announcements or information first, followed by a week-at-a-glance calendar, and ending with important dates to keep in mind for the next month or so.
Back to School Night
5th – 8th grade back to school night is Tuesday, August 19th starting at 5:30 pm in the Music Room. Back to school night is designed for parents only. Childcare will be provided.
Picnic
Friday, August 15th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the field we will be doing an all-school back to school picnic! Bring your picnic blankets and picnic dinner and come ready for a fun evening of fellowship. The school will be providing hot dogs for everyone and the Kona Ice Truck will be on campus for fun treats!
Installation/Blessings and Potluck
Sunday, August 17th at both services there will be a blessing for backpacks and teachers, as well as an installation for Mrs. Heiss. A potluck will follow the late service, about 11:45. We invite everyone to come and attend!
Half Day August 27th
On Wednesday, August 27th, there will be a half day of school. 7th and 8th grade are dismissed at 12:00 pm. Extended care is available, but students must bring their own lunch.
September 6th Fall Carnival and Pie Auction
On Saturday, September 6th, Hope will host its annual fall carnival with a pie auction. We are looking forward to a wonderful evening!
