MAP Testing
7th and 8th grade students will be starting MAP testing this coming week. All students must have their Chromebooks charged. If a student has a Chromebook that dies before testing, they will receive a silent lunch. Please make sure your student is well rested and eats a good breakfast before testing.
The testing schedule is as follows:
-Thursday, August 28 – MATH – 9:35 – 11:00
-Friday, August 29 – READING – 9:35 – 11:00
-Wednesday, September 3 – LANGUAGE – 9:35 – 11:00
-Friday, September 5 – SCIENCE – 11:30 – 1:00
Pie Auction and School Carnival
Hope will host our fall carnival on Saturday, September 6. During this time, we also do a pie auction to help raise money for the PAHS Auction in November. They are looking for people to donate pies for this wonderful event! Please see Hope’s Happenings for more information.
Half Day August 27th
On Wednesday, August 27th, there will be a half-day of school. 7th and 8th grade are dismissed at 12:00 pm. Extended care is available, but students must bring their own lunch.
Cell Phones and Smart Watches
As a reminder, all students must turn in their smart watches and cell phones to their teacher when they arrive for the day. The students will receive their phones back at the end of the day. Students should not be on their phones until they are in the car, as they are still on school property.
Permission Slips
Permission slips were given out at Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, or sent in Thursday Folders if not in attendance. We have two upcoming field trips. September 23rd is Timber Ridge. All students must have the permission slip signed, as well as the waiver from Timber Ridge. There is a front and a back to sign. Any parent attending must have a waiver signed as well.
The second field trip is on October 23rd to Lutheran High. We need parent drivers for both of these field trips. Please help out if you are able to!
