7th Newsletter 11/6/25

Operation Christmas Child Boxes are back again! This year, we are going to be putting a box together as a class. We will make a box for a boy. A sign-up genius is below for you to sign up for items to bring in; that way, we do not have duplicates. Students are also encouraged to grab a box on their way out of the building to complete as a family. Boxes are to be turned in on November 12th, and they will be blessed during our chapel that day. Items for the class box are due on November 11th. Thank you for supporting this and giving back to the community!

Eligibility

Eligibility for the winter sports season (basketball and cheer) began this week. Students must maintain a 75% or higher in their classes in order to be eligible for that week. Parents will be notified by email if their athlete is ineligible on Tuesdays.

This year, the 7th and 8th graders are paired up with a child from Stony Point Elementary. This year, we are able to go to their school on Friday, November 21st, for a “Friendsgiving”. This will be an opportunity for Hope students to meet Stony Point students, get to know each other, before the 7th and 8th graders shop for Christmas presents for them. Please fill out and return permission slips promptly.

Stony Point
7th and 8th Grade Students and Parents,

During the weekend of MBHC Basketball Tournament, we will be hosting a bake sale to support Stony Point Elementary School. All proceeds will go directly toward purchasing much-needed items for the children at Stony Point.

This has been a long-standing Hope tradition for our 7th and 8th graders. Each year, students shop for and deliver essential items to the children of Stony Point—an experience that helps them learn the value of service and giving.

Our goal this year is to raise $2,000 for 27 students,

Student and Parent Participation:

Each student is expected to donate baked goods and volunteer for at least two 30-minute shifts at the bake sale table.

Each shift should include two students and at least one parent supervising.

Please have all baked goods delivered to Hope by Thursday morning 12/4 so we can set up for the tournament.

Thank you for helping us continue this meaningful tradition of giving!

DONATIONS FOR STONY POINT NORTH ELEMENTARY

The 7th/8th-grade students have the opportunity to provide a Christmas celebration for physically and developmentally disabled students attending Stony Point North Elementary School in KCK. Many of these students are in foster care, and for many of them, these gifts will be their entire Christmas.  Money can be dropped off in the school office or in the offering plate. We need to raise at least $2000 for 27 students of Stony Point. The 7th/8th graders thank you in advance for your support. The collection deadline is Friday, December 5th.
