On Monday we took our chapter 13 test. The students did very well on this test. This week we then proceeded on our dissection path and dissected the fetal pig. Pigs are very similar to humans in that they are mammals and have many similar characteristics. This was a good exploration to note the different organs that are very similar to ours. Our pigs were also double injected so that we could tell the difference between veins and arteries and we could follow the flow of blood. We will now be starting chapter 14 and looking at bones, muscles and the skin as very important organs in our bodies.
Life Science
We have been reviewing the chapters that we studied this semester. The students will take their final exam Thursday, May 15 and then we will be done with Life Science. Thank you for a great year!
