Our Timber Ridge trip was great! I loved seeing the teamwork and communication amongst the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Thank you to those who drove and who cheered me up that rock climbing wall.

Thanks also to all who made my birthday special. The gift from the class was spot-on with my favorite foods, and I look forward to browsing Amazon for something new.

SINGING on SUNDAY– The 6th-7th grade choir is singing at Hope’s 10:00 service this Sunday. Students need to meet in the Luther Room at 9:45 to warm up. All students and their families are invited to Sunday School/Bible Class at 9:00. There is only one service at Hope this weekend. If your child cannot sing with the choir on Sunday, please email me with a short explanation so it can be an excused absence.

In reading class, we are working on writing personal narratives. I’ve seen some good prewriting ideas, so I’m hopeful that the class can develop those ideas into compelling stories. Our capitalization unit in grammar class will help our stories shape up, as well. We’re working through events from the book of Genesis in religion class. Division hasn’t brought us down yet in math class, and we love the patterns of multiplying and dividing by 0.1, 0.01, and 0.001.
