4-6 school Scoop, October 31

October 30, 2024

Pastor Mueller led chapel with a fun song about the 12 spies who checked out the Promised Land before the Iraelites were to enter it. Then he spoke God’s Word from Romans 3 and the Book of Ruth. Boaz was Ruth’s kinsman redeemer, just as Jesus is our Redeemer. Boaz didn’t have to pay as much to redeem Ruth as Jesus paid for us. As Luther wrote, “He purchased and won me from all sin, from death, and from the power of the devil, not with gold or silver, but with His holy precious blood and His innocent suffering and death…” Thanks be to God that Boaz took Ruth for his wife, because their son, Obed, would become King David’s grandfather, a direct descendant of Jesus Christ!

Please sign and send report card envelopes back to school with your child.

We’re getting excited about the auction. There’s still room for more people, so invite your friends and family members to this fun event! Next Friday is Hero Day, so wear hero tee shirts and uniform bottoms or a hero costume.

Thank you, parents, for bringing your child to sing on Sunday and joining us for worship. Many Hope members complimented the choir, and your child’s voice made a beautiful contribution.

All students will get the opportunity to vote for the President of the U.S. on Tuesday. It will be interesting to see how the vote turns out. Students may wear patriotic tops with uniform bottoms.

Our Veterans’ Day program is designed to serve and honor our veterans. Parents and Grandparents, we ask that you refrain from attending unless you are a veteran. Thank you for your understanding.

A flier is coming home today about our “Christmas Families” donations. Please post that in your house or car and remember to pick up some extra items at the grocery store to help those who struggle to have enough. Thank you for serving the Lord in this way!

Verse to remember:  “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…” Romans 3:23-24Coming up:
