4-6 School Scoop, 5/8/25

May 7, 2025

Chapel: Mrs. Haverkamp led chapel with a Bible reading from John 21:1-19. This is the account of Jesus appearing to several disciples after his resurrection. After a night of catching nothing, Jesus appeared and so did 153 fish in their net! Peter, always the excitable one, jumped out of the boat to greet Jesus on shore. Jesus had a private conversation with him and forgave him three times for denying him three times. Jesus, our Good Shepherd, commanded Peter to feed and care for His lambs and sheep. Jesus, of course, feeds us from His Word and with His body and blood because He loves and cares for us.

Verse to Remember: John 20:30-31 “Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”

Thank you, parents and students, for all the nice things you did to honor the teachers this week. We appreciate being appreciated!
