3-6 Scoop, 10/30/25

Chapel: Pastor Mueller read passages from Acts 2, Titus 3, and Matthew 28 about Baptism. The water of Baptism is ordinary water – until God’s authoritative Word makes that water able to cleanse us of our sins. As Martin Luther wrote in the Small Catechism, “It works forgiveness of sins, rescues from death and the devil, and gives eternal salvation to all who believe this, as the words and promises of God declare.” We were delighted to witness the Baptisms of Addie and Kinsley Maurice during chapel. Through Baptism, God declares, “You belong to me!”

Verse to remember:  “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior…”: Titus 3:4-6

Chapel- The seventh graders led a great chapel about Jesus’s transfiguration. They helped us understand that a few of Jesus’s disciples were there to witness that amazing event, and those same disciples were at Jesus’s crucifixion and death. These events were “awe”ful...
