*Happy Thanksgiving to all the Hope families! Have a blessed celebration of the abundance God gives us every day.

*The STUCO Candy Cane Cafe will be held from 8:00-8:25 on the Tuesdays of December. A poster about this is in the Thursday envelope.

*Our chapel collection this quarter is going to help some families have a delightful Christmas dinner. I have noticed that not very many sixth graders bring an offering to chapel. I will have a jar in my classroom in December that students can drop bills and coins into as part of this collection. Any change they have from the STUCO Candy Cane Cafe would be easy to drop in. If students can spend a couple dollars on cocoa and cookies, it would be wonderful for them to give a couple dollars to families in need.

*Advent church services at Hope start on Wednesday, December 3, at 4 pm and 7 pm with dinner served at 5 pm. You are invited to worship and eat with us!

*The 6-8 choir will sing and A-band will play at Hope’s 8:00 service on December 7. The K-5 students will sing at the 10:30 service on that day. We expect many guests from area schools who are here for the basketball tournament.

*The Christmas program on December 18 is mandatory. Students should wear black slacks/skirts and white tops. Polos, sweaters, or dress shirts are fine. Students should meet in their homerooms at 5:30 for the 6:00 program.

*Our class Christmas party will be on December 19. Each student should bring 2 nice-sized, wrapped candy bars for a class exchange game. Names on the wrapping are not needed.

*Save the date: The 6th and 4th graders will visit Topeka for a field trip on January 29. We will need drivers for about 30 students. Permission slips will be sent home in early 2026.
