The Apostles Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Field Trip
All students will need a booster seat for that Field Trip so please send them to school with one on November 1st. We will be eating lunch at the farm, so please plan ahead to send a lunch along as well. Parent drivers: I will send out an email next week with car assignments, so be on the lookout for that!
Other Notes
- Make sure to practice spelling and memory throughout the week. We spend a lot of time reviewing in class, but every minute at home counts too!
- Our spelling test will be on Thursday this upcoming week since we will be on our field trip all day Friday.
- Quarter 2 Reading Log minutes have bumped up to 100 minutes each week. At the end of the week, your student needs to pick one book and write a little summary on it. These instructions are laid out on the backside of the purple Reading Log. Remember that anything read on EPIC can count toward those reading logs.
- The 1st and 2nd grade choirs will sing at the 10:30 am church service on November 10th. Please mark this in your calendars now as attendance will count toward your child’s choir grade.
