Week at a Glance
In Math, we are wrapping up our unit on place value to 1,000. In Science, we are talking about what changes land. In Social Studies, we are talking about trade and working together as a class to make fair trades happen. In Reading, we are studying a variety of biographies and learning about important historical figures. In Religion, we are talking about Esther and her bravery. Valentine’s Day is coming up quick! We will be doing a little party in the class on Friday, February 14th. Students can create their own boxes to hold Valentines in at home and bring them to school whenever they are finished. I have extra shoe boxes if anyone needs them, just let me know! If you are sending your child with Valentines, remember that we are a nut free classroom and there are 16 total students.

Field Trip!
Thank you for signing and returning your permission slips. We are headed to the Coterie Theatre on Friday, January 31st. We are going to see a play based on the book “Just Ask.” It is a great story about how all kids are made unique and at school we will be talking about how God makes us all special in our own ways. I have included the link for the read-a-loud below if you are interested in the story!
