January 29, 2025

Week at a Glance
In Math, we are in a unit about adding three-digit numbers now. In Science, we are talking about Groundhog Day and if animals really can predict the weather. In Social Studies, we are reviewing all we learned in this unit and will be taking a test next Friday. In Reading, we are diving into the history of the Super Bowl and learning about some of the athletes who have made an impact on the game of football. In Religion, we are talking about the 12 disciples. On Wednesday, February 5th we are celebrating the 100th day of school. To make it an extra fun day, we are all going to dress like we are 100 years old. Valentine’s Day is coming up quick! We will be doing a little party in the class on Friday, February 14th. Students can create their own boxes to hold Valentines in at home and bring them to school whenever they are finished. I have extra shoe boxes if anyone needs them, just let me know! If you are sending your child with Valentines, remember that we are a nut free classroom and there are 16 total students.

Luke 7:50
And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Field Trip!
We are headed to the Coterie Theatre on Friday, January 31st. Every child MUST bring a booster seat. I sent out car assignments to drivers last week, so please refer back to that email for further directions. We are going to see a play based on the book “Just Ask.” It is a great story about how all kids are made unique and at school we will be talking about how God makes us all special in our own ways. I have included the link for the read-a-loud below if you are interested in the story!
