Second Grade News 4/17

April 17, 2025

Week at a Glance
In Math, we are working on telling time. In Social Studies, we are putting together the final details of our International Fair Projects. All of these will be done at school, so you don’t have to worry about anything at home. The International Fair is on Thursday, May 1st and we are looking forward to sharing what we have learned with you! In Reading, we are making our way to the end of Charlotte’s Web and talking about how the characters have developed throughout the book. In Religion, we are talking about the joy we have through the resurrection.

Field Trip!
On Wednesday, we are headed to the Rodeo! Each student needs to bring a booster AND a sack lunch to school as it is an all-day field trip. We have been making bandanas in class to wear and to go along with those, let’s all dress like cowboys and cowgirls! Students can wear jeans and a flannel or western shirt. If they have boots they would like to wear they can, but older tennis shoes are also a good option. We are all so excited!

Reading Olympic standings:

1. The Pokemon Trainers – 1,580
2. The Dogs – 1,333
3. The Huskies – 1,248
4. Book Club – 1,184
5. Penguin Kitten Squad – 995
