Chapel: Our chapel services this week focused on the peace and joy of knowing that our Savior was born as a little baby on Christmas! The younger grades learned the symbols of the candy cane to remember that Jesus is our good shepherd, and even though He was pure and holy, He came to shed his blood on the cross for us. So each time we see a candy cane, we can remember the sweet love of our Savior.
Verse to remember: Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Candy Cane Cafe- On Tuesdays in December, students can enjoy cocoa and a cookie and help STUCO raise money for our school in the process. There is a jar in the classroom to collect change from the cafe and other donations to be added to our chapel offering. The offering money will be used to help a few families in the KC area who struggle to pay for groceries.

Party! – Classroom Christmas parties will take place on December 19. We’ll have a Christmas sing-along at 9:00 in the church sanctuary. Most classes will have a recess afterwards. The 3rd-5th grade parties will begin about 10:00, and the 6th grade party will begin about 10:30. All parents are invited to attend these festivities. Room parents will contact you if party supplies and/or food and drink are needed.
We will have an early dismissal that day with no extended care.
Parent and Teacher Conferences – These will be held January 15-16, with an early dismissal on the 15th and no school on the 16th. A sign-up genius will be coming soon.
