Test Thursday, 8/28/25 (tested over spelling words and vocabulary meanings)

cormorants-

a diving bird w/dark plumage & webbed feet and a pouch under its beak used to store captured fish

kelp- a bed or mass of a brown seawood

intruder- anyone that comes without permission or welcome

Aleut- a Native American people inhabiting the Aleutian Islands of Alaska

mesa- a land formation, smaller than a plateau, having steep walls and a flat top

glistening- to shine by reflection

carcass- a dead body

dusk- partial darkness between day and night, twilight

surged- a strong, wave-like, forward movement

Abalones- a large mollusk, having a bowlike shell, flesh used for food

(spelling sentence)

The glistening ocean water surged forward bringing in kelp during dusk.
