fifth grade newsletter may 14

Dear Parents,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such generous gifts during Teacher Appreciation Week.   From flowers, to candles, to jewelry, to gift cards, to Arnold Palmers, to candy, to mugs, and even much needed cough drops, your thoughtfulness is beyond what words can express. Most importantly, I would like to thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child’s journey this school year.  Being their teacher has brought me the greatest joy and filled my heart.  I love each and every one of them. They are truly God’s precious gifts.

Thursday – FINE ARTS NIGHT! (MAY 14)

Students are to be in our classroom by 5:15.  Attire- white top/shirt, black pants/skirt.  After the closing, please come to the classroom to pick up your child.  They will need to return their chair, put away their music stand, and pack up their band instruments before they are dismissed.  Thank you.

Friday- NO SCHOOL- It is a teacher-inservice day.

Monday- We will have Field Day from 9:00-11:00.  If it’s a sunny day, please apply sunscreen before dropping your child off. Students will be wearing their PE uniform for this.  You are welcome to attend if you would like.

Wednesday- PICNIC DAY!  Students need to bring their own lunch and drink.  There will no longer be school lunches or drinks.  We will be eating lunch outside on the school grounds.

Thursday- (May 21) Final chapel and some awards will be given.    Dismissal will be immediately after chapel has ended.  (10:30-10:45)  If you attend chapel, you may come to our classroom for dismissal or go to the car line for dismissal.

Report cards will be handed out to the students upon dismissal as long as all funds are paid for and uniforms (track) have been handed in.  Please see the office to receive your child’s report card if necessary.

To Him be all the Glory!

Mrs. Kathy McIntosh
