Fifth grade newsletter october 16, 2025

Dear Parents,

We are at the end of the first quarter of the school year.  Friday is an early dismissal day as teachers will be working on report cards in the afternoon. Report cards will be sent home in next week’s Thursday envelope. Please sign and return the envelope unsealed,  but keep the report card. Thank you.

Eligibility– Even in between sports seasons, teachers will track eligibility. You will be notified if your child’s grade in a class is below 75%.  This allows us to communicate with you on a weekly basis if your child  specifically needs some extra help at home in order to improve their learning experience.

The 3rd-5th grade choir will sing during the late service, 10:30, at Hope on Sunday, November 2. Students should meet Mrs. Schkade in the Luther Room by 10:15 to warm up. Students will sit in the balcony until their piece is finished, then they will meet their parents in the sanctuary or the narthex. Parents, please email Mrs. Schkade and/or your child’s homeroom teacher if your child has other church or family commitments that prevent him or her from attending.
