fifth grade newsletter november 13, 2025

Dear Parents,

Midterm progress reports will be emailed to you on Thursday, November 20.   Some students have had missing assignments from the week I was absent from the classroom.  If your child has missing assignments from that week, know that they will be completed before progress reports are sent out as I am working with them to get caught up.

Our grade 3-8 Christmas program practice is beginning next week.  All fifth grade students have a small speaking part to memorize for the program.  We will be working on speaking parts in class, however, I would encourage you to ask your child what his or her speaking part is and have them practice at home as well.

Thank you to all of you who had Operation Christmas Child boxes filled.  Some students asked if they could bring theirs in on Thursday or Friday.  That would be wonderful to see even more boxes brought in by the end of this week.  Thank you.

With cold weather beginning, I would remind you to have your child bring a winter coat.  If your child wears a Hope sweatshirt to school, they will still need a second layer for outdoor recess.  If they do not have a coat during cold weather, they will not be able to participate in outdoor recess time.

Our schedule:

Wednesday-chapter 4 social studies test

Thursday-spelling test

Have a great weekend!

In Him,

Mrs. Kathy McIntosh
