fifth grade newsletter march 26, 2026

Dear Parents,

We are back at it with our school lessons.  We have had a busy first part of the week working on our research paper.  Eight of the kids have completed their paper and are now putting together their “Wax Museum” presentation for our April 30th Celebrating 250 Years of America Event Night.  Please keep in mind that the students will be dressing as their President or First Lady.  A few have shared that they already have their “custom/outfit” ready for the event.

Starting on Tuesday, March 31 our students will be taking the KAP test.  This includes testing in Science, ELA, and Math.  Our schedule is:

Tuesday-3/31 8:45-10:00 ELA testing for Grades 3-8

Wednesday, 4/1 8:45-10:00 ELA testing for Grades 3-8

Thursday 4/2 1:00-2:00 Science testing for Grades 5 & 8

Math testing is scheduled for the following week.

Jog-a-Thon April 7th

We will begin our Jog-a-Thon kick-off next week.  Fundraising starts on Monday, March 30. There will be prizes for both individual and class-based fundraising.  Our class will be wearing gray for a top.  Any gray t-shirt that is appropriate for running is encouraged for April 7.  A permission slip will be in your child’s yellow folder.
