Dear Parent,
The day has finally arrived! Tonight we will honor America. Please have your child in costume and at school by 5:15. They are to meet in our classroom. The kids are very excited to share what they have learned and prepared. If you have numerous children in school, I ask that you please come to our classroom first. That way once your child has given his/her presentation, he/she can be dismissed with you to tour the other classrooms. Thank you.
Next week we will continue with MAP testing. Ours are scheduled on Monday, May 4, Tuesday, May 5, and Wednesday, May 6. Make sure your child eats breakfast and hopefully gets a good night’s sleep before these testing days as it may be beneficial for them.
On Monday, May 11 our class along with sixth grade will be going on a field trip to Arabian Steamboat Museum. The permission form was sent home in Thursday’s yellow envelope. Please sign and return it no later than May 5 so I can inform the museum and pay for the tickets. Please consider driving and attending. If you have never seen the museum it is definitely worth the time to attend.
As you may have noticed this week I did not assign spelling words. With all the practices and presentation practice it was not feasible. Next week will be our last spelling test of our school year.
Pictured below is our class Art auction item. Please consider bidding on it. The kids did a great job!
