Students will be taking their chapter 8 test on Thursday. Grades will be posted on RenWeb later in the evening. Next week we will begin our next chapter where we will be studying the atom and its structure. We will be learning about the proton, electrons, and neutrons that are found in the atom and how to find this information on the Periodic Table of Elements. We will also be looking at several different models of what the atom looks like. We will be building atoms and looking at the placement of electrons in different energy levels.
We are continuing to work on our science fair project. Your child should be working on this project at home. The next assignment is due on Monday, February 26. Students need to have their experiment plan formally written step by step. This should include their material list and all details necessary for someone to replicate their experiment.
