This week we have been studying atoms and their makeup. We have learned about the subatomic particles: protons, electrons, and neutrons. The students were able to practice building atoms with M&Ms and Skittles with a different color representing each subatomic particle. I am sure their favorite part was eating the atoms when we were finished. We will continue learning about different models of atoms that have been developed along with the different aspects that were discovered over time by many scientists.
