This week we continued our study of work and power. We have begun looking at simple machines and are specifically looking at the six different types of simple machines. We will finish this chapter looking at compound machines as combinations of simple machines. The picture on my website shows a can opener which is a compound machine made of a wedge, wheel and axel, and a lever. This weekend students should be working on their extra credit and preparing for a test next week. I am not certain what day we will take our test yet, but students will be informed soon.
Physical Science
We are just about finished with science this year. The 8th graders took their final on Wednesday and the 7th graders will take their final next Wednesday, May 15. Science Fair projects have been graded and their write-ups will be going home in the Thursday folder. I...
