Chapel

Our worship service message was led by Pastor Bob, who read from Acts 1:1-11. Jesus ascended into Heaven, and His disciples just stood gaping at the sky. They needed to be reminded that they shouldn’t just look to the heavens, but focus on the need to live their earthly lives, serving others and sharing the Gospel. We quite often need to be reminded of the opposite. Instead of focusing on our earthly needs and desires, we should look to God and acknowledge His gifts to us. We should serve Him by serving others. When we are experiencing hard times, God uses that to help us become stronger, better, and wiser in how we live our lives as His chosen people.

Verse to Share

They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.  “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:10-11)
