Chapel: Pastor Bender from Our Savior Lutheran Church lead our all-school chapel today. He explained how Jesus left Nazareth and went to live in Capernaum to fulfill Isaiah’s prophesy, “the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light…” We too are to live in the light of Jesus, trusting Him to protect and keep us from darkness and fears. Jesus’ light cannot be extinguished by the darkness. We are called to live in the Light and be the light so we can bring others the brightness of truth, kindness, forgiveness, and friendship.

Verse to remember:  “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” – Psalm 27: 1!
