What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a candidate who:

• PREFERRED: Be eligible for a Call within the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and become an active member of Hope Lutheran Church
• REQUIRED: Be a practicing, professing Christian, active in his or her own Christian congregation
• Deliver comprehensive MATH/SCIENCE instruction, infusing classroom discussion with inquiry-based methods, using designed curriculum and assessments.
• Prove knowledge of middle school pedagogy and the developmental needs of early adolescents.
• Provide a motivating and stimulating learning environment for all students, embracing the necessary dynamics for differentiated learning.
• Understand and adapt to the range of student needs across a developmental spectrum with patience, flexibility, humor, and empathy.
• Build positive relationships with students while establishing and maintaining appropriate standards for behavior in class
• Build positive relationships with parents, keeping them updated on student academic and behavioral progress.
• Work in a team environment, and embrace the team concept within grade levels and departments to provide the most comprehensive and inclusive approach to student needs.
• Attend meetings regularly.
• Enter grades and complete grade reports in a timely fashion.
• Respond to electronic communication in a timely fashion.
• Organize, supervise, or coach selected student activities or elective classes, as is the practice in our school.
• Hold a current Kansas Teaching License, or in the case of out-of-state licensure, make an application to the State of Kansas at the time of hire.

The anticipated start date for this position is August 1ST, 2025.
