Practice times vary
Christian athletics is another area of excellence that Hope Lutheran School offers to its students. They have the opportunity to experience enjoyable physical activity, friendly competition, and team skills to last a lifetime. We offer the following opportunities through our Athletic Program. Our athletics programs include fall soccer and volleyball, winter basketball and cheer, and spring track and cross country.
American Sign Language (ASL) Club
Mondays 3:45 – 4:30 p.m.
Learn how to sign and discover a culture and people that are hidden everywhere around us. Many have seen others sign and thought “I wish I knew how to do that!” Well here is your chance to begin! We will have fun (lots of games) and you will learn some signs along the way.
Band
Advanced & Beginner
Band is available for students in 4th through 8th grade. Band is offered both to students who have received previous instruction or who are ready to learn an instrument for the first time. Additional activity fees apply for participating students.
Chess Club
Mondays 7:30 – 8:15 a.m.
The Knight Club will be having chess club after school once a week for Kindergarten – 8th grade students. You can find out more about the program on https://www.theknightschool.com/.
Lego Club
Thursdays 3:45 – 5:00 p.m.
Kids are already naturally gifted creators. Then they get added inspiration from our specially trained instructors. They dive into our massive collections of LEGO®, and while they build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles, they explore fundamental principles of engineering and physics. They also learn to collaborate and create without fear of mistakes. The experience is joyful, the impact long lasting.

Math Club
Mondays 3:45 – 4:30 p.m.
Students in grades 4-8 are eligible to become members of Math Club. The club meets once a week after school and participates in two or three Mathletics competitions each year.
Rocket League
Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:45 – 6:15 p.m.
Welcome to the high-powered hybrid of arcade-style soccer and vehicular mayhem! Customize your car, hit the field, and compete in one of the most critically acclaimed sports games of all time! Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to become members of Hope’s Esports team.
Student Council
Wednesdays 7:30 – 8:05 a.m.
The Student Council consist of elected officers from 4th to 8th grade plus a representative from each class (3rd to 8th grade). Students in grades Kindergarten to 8th will vote for President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, and Artist/Publicity.
Scouting
Hope offers a variety of scouting programs for both boys and girls of all age levels. Each program strives to have fun activities and help the children grow in their leadership skills. Parent involvement and initiative is imperative for a successful scouting program!
Spring Play
Each spring the middle school students can participate in the Spring Play as actors, stage hands, or both. Students learn the basics of theater production while enjoying Christian fun and fellowship.
