In the classroom: In Religion we are learning about the Sermon on the mount. In Reading the students are becoming very good independent writers and using all the writing mechanic rules. In Math, students are doing subtraction and addition. In Science this week we will continue learn about the body system and how to take care of our bodies.

Weekly Bible verse: “Understanding is a fountain of life to one who has it.” Proverbs 16:22

Science Fair: Science fair packets have gone home with the older students at Hope. Kindergarten will also be doing a Science fair project for May 1st, but it will be done together in the classroom. The students and I will learn about the project and then we will select the topic. I will guide them throughout the process. I will send out information as needed. This project will help prepare the students for future projects in the upper grades. If you have questions, feel free to reach out.

Valentines Day party: Our valentines party will be February 14th from 2:00 to 3:00. Please have your child make or purchase valentines for each class member. You can find valentines at Walmart, Dollar tree for little to nothing cost. We will also make our own valentines day bags in the class. We will decorate them together.
