Nesletter April 11th

April 11, 2024

In the classroom: In Religion, we continue to hear the resurrection stories. He Lives! In Reading, the students have been reading extra books for the Read-a-thon along with their daily quiet reading. Their independent writing is amazing. They are being very creative in their stories. In Math we are writing our numbers up to 30 and learning how to count in different ways. In Science, it is so exciting to watch our seeds germinate and change.

Bible Verse: “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7

The Kindergarten-2nd choir will sing during Hope’s 10:30 AM service this coming Sunday, April 14th. Please bring your child to the Luther Room by 10:15 AM in their church clothes (no uniform is required). Participation in this service is worth points toward your child’s choir grade. If your child cannot be there, please email your child’s teacher.

Field trip to the zoo: Remember to send in your child’s permission slip for the zoo. We will be making a special T-shirt with our buddies to wear to the zoo. They can wear jeans and we will put our shirts on when we arrive at school that day. Also make sure to let me know if your child will need a school lunch for that day so I can give the information to the lunch room, bring a lunch for yourself (everything in the lunches needs to be disposable) We will not be allowing any one to go to the gift shops that day, we are there to enjoy the day exploring with our buddies.

Reminders: Water bottles, snacks, jackets for morning recess, $3.00 for tri-boards, zoo permission slips.
